Bachelor Product Design

For me, design has the potential to improve our everyday life. The creative design process is my great passion. Having conversations about various topics, exploring my boundaries and also pursuing my interests beyond design are things that help me realize that.

Sustainably inspired by Cape Verde

What matters to the people of the Cape Verde Islands? Far from the reality of our lives, we embarked on a journey to the archipelago off the coast of West Africa. An expedition of two friends, accompanied in the best possible way by my project partner Bence Ridder, whose curiosity and communicative nature were invaluable. Observations and conversations brought us new, exciting perspectives that inspire us still today. They led us to our project, which addresses the needs of people, as well as domestic resources and their use. In the process, we stumbled upon a hidden gem: bagasse, a natural byproduct from the sugar cane industry, is taking on new value and manifesting the country’s culinary experience. A sustainable transformation in which waste is reduced and local, renewable resources are promoted.
