A documentary film about the glass painter Wilfried Grootens and his art
“LOOK THROUGH” is a documentary film that delves into the fascinating world of the glass and porcelain painter Wilfried Grootens. Through his masterful use of brushstrokes on glass, Grootens creates stunning transparent geometric spaces that seem to create spherical and floating forms. Join us on a journey through Grootens’ artistic process and get intimate glimpses into the artist’s career as well as the evolution of his work.
My inspiration for the creation of the documentary film comes from a deep enthusiasm for the personal and intimate aspects of authentic documentaries. The film does not focus solely on factual information, but aims to engage the viewer on an emotional level. That required during the process of making a balancing act between meticulous planning and absolute spontaneity.
