Bachelor Communication Design

To me, design means daring to do something new and engaging in a process in which I don’t know all the answers right from the start. Instead, I take a close look at users’ needs and challenges to create carefully thought-out solutions that communicate content clearly and that move people.

A guide for suicide loss survivors

Nine thousand two hundred fifteen.

In 2021, 9,215 people died by suicide in Germany. Suicide loss survivors often feel helpless and left alone in the face of their loss and suicide being considered a taboo subject. To allow survivors of suicide loss to feel more seen and understood and less alone with what they are going through, I created “continueliving” ‒ a booklet to support them in their grief. It informs survivors of ways to get help, discusses topics and emotions surrounding suicide and grief, provides insights into other survivors’ experiences and offers ideas on how to reflect on and deal with their grief. I am grateful to all the survivors of suicide loss that put their trust in me and shared their personal experiences relating suicide.
