Bachelor Media Design

Art, glamour, and politics accompany through my life and inspire my design. From product and social design to graphic design, photography, and ultimately motion picture, I have always found new ways to experimentally execute projects. In my bachelor’s thesis, I combine my passion for drag with a motion picture, offering a glimpse into this vibrant and colorful world.

The Art of Drag

Between glamour and politics

Drag is a diverse art form that enlightens and entertains by humor, activism, and artistic expression. My goal is to engage the audience both emotionally and intellectually, inspiring them to question their preconceived notions and adopt a broader perspective. To achieve this, I accompanied Galaxia and Saroxa, two drag queens and activists from Münster, at various events for a month, gaining an intimate insight into the scene.

During this time, the drag queens shared the challenges faced by the drag community, as well as the achievements and artistic significance of this extraordinary art form, which goes far beyond mere entertainment.
