A photographic exploration of sex-positivity

“Sex-positivity” describes a mindset that strives for an open approach to sexuality in all its facets. The movement aims to break down common norms and moral beliefs, encouraging individuals to explore their own desires and boundaries. Central to this philosophy is consent: everything is allowed as long as it is mutually agreed upon. Sex-positive events, celebrating this diversity , are becoming increasingly popular.

My photo book, “s+”, tells the stories of individuals who identify with this movement and live its values. I visited them, took photos, and engaged in conversations with them. The interviewees speak of freedom, openness, acceptance, pleasure, touch, intimacy, security, and a collective sense of belonging.

The result is a collection of personal and intimate moments, an interpretation by each individual. It is as unique as they are themselves, tailored to their wishes how they want themselves to be presented.
