With the help of my illustrations I want to capture the perceptions of reality. I am especially fascinated by the endless facets of feelings and deep atmospheres around us. During my studies I was able to enhance my own skills in order to elaborately bring such moments to life on my canvas.

Wishling
The star that yearned to see the sun
My book follows a little star, that yearns to see the sun. As stars only decorate the sky during the night and the sun only during the day, it is a seemingly impossible feat. The only chance to let the star’s wish come true is to travel to Earth as a shooting star. The story illustrates the journey in search of fulfilling a feeling of deep longing and the interconnected consequences of such a desire.
For me, it was most important to present the emotions of the Starchild and its exploration of the Earth as atmospherically captivating. Every page is supposed to stand as a comprehensible, individual work. My project helped me to reach new heights: a complete story, interesting incidences of light, landscapes, and a character in diverse perspectives and emotions consistently illustrated. All of the above listed aspects have only been touched upon lightly in the past, so that I am overjoyed to be able to realize them successfully and as confidently as of now.
