Bachelor Product Design

I’ve always been curious, but since I began to consider myself a designer, my full focus lies on questioning and reshaping systems and maintaining interdisciplinary exchange and a broader vision in the process. Hence, according to Kevin Bethune: “Let’s get going ‒ because future is calling”.

Cocooner

Contraception for men

It’s getting hot in here! We all know that things can become pretty charged during sex, but with COCOONER, it’s also the case when it comes to contraception. A bit like a sauna for the testicles.

In collaboration with the startup RoNikJa, COCOONER ‒ the new contraceptive method for men ‒ was created. Completely hormone-free and relying solely on thermotherapy, it grants men autonomy in contraception. Just put it on, read a newspaper for half an hour, and the sperm remain infertile for up to six weeks.

The work on COCOONER can be compared to doing the splits. How do I raise awareness without scaring people? How do I prevent phantom pain in the groin area? Warm aesthetics versus cold technology. Bold and calming? It was a balancing act between emotional and technology, and in any case, one in which I was able to immerse myself in various roles and had to position myself as a designer.
