Bachelor Communication Design

I see my role as a designer as a translator of complex ideas into a clear visual language that inspires intellectual engagement. I am particularly fascinated by the strategic, emotional, and occasionally experimental aspects along the way.

Values beyond profit

Evaluation of the potential value of design for the crafts industry beyond mere economic sales maximization

Design and craftsmanship … two industries that often maintain a certain distance from each other. But why is that actually the case? The answer is quite simple: The order books of most small craft businesses are filled for the next months and years. The demand is rising, and there is simply no need for acquiring new customers. So why invest time and money to replace the tried-and-true company logo, which was patched together by the neighbor’s niece’s friend using Paint? A valid point, but I say: Design can do more! In my bachelor project, I wanted to prove that design is more than just a tool to boost economic sales. Can it be used to restructure and potentially even optimize the daily work in craftsmanship? By developing a new corporate design for a small drywall company in Schwerin, I aimed to create added value that focuses on process optimization, reducing effort, and employee retention.
