Bachelor Communication Design

For me, design is the transformation of unorganized information into an aesthetic structure to make it understandable and accessible to others. I find inspiration in nature and the feeling of freedom, in visits to galleries and conversations with other people.

Einsplus

Dinner and more

Many people struggle to enjoy eating alone and investing time in preparing meals.

My work is directed to these individuals, offering them two distinct benefits. Firstly, it provides them with the opportunity to enjoy a communal dining experience by which they can share a table with others and celebrate the joy of food together. Secondly, it introduces them to the art of cooking.

The dinner form “Einsplus” gathers strangers at one table, allowing them to celebrate the joy of food together. It is a hybrid form of a restaurant visit and a home dinner. Guests meet in a public space where they are taken care of, yet they sit together at a single table, fostering a homely atmosphere and getting to know each other throughout the evening. A three-course shared menu gives room for an immediate conversation and interaction between the guests.

The accompanying cookbook aims to bring the enjoyment of dining to the home table. It teaches how to easily cook for oneself without having an endless list of ingredients or spending a lot of time in the kitchen. It emphasizes that preparing meals can be an act of self-appreciation, solely for personal enjoyment. The cookbook consists of four chapters, each offering a basic recipe with various adaptations for all seasons. This system allows flexibility, the reuse of ingredients, and it offers numerous possibilities for combinations.
