Bachelor Communication Design

Growing up with the assumption that adaptation is the best survival strategy, I graduate with an unexpected confidence in my flaws. For me, becoming a designer means having the courage to make myself vulnerable and stand up for myself even though I am standing on shaky legs.

PillowTalk

An inclusive sex education game

In a world where almost everyone has unlimited access to pornography on the Internet and where the media public sphere is becoming increasingly sexualized, the need for early and comprehensive sexual education has grown.

While adolescents have the freedom to try out non-heteronormative ways of living and loving, preceding generations come up against the limits of their learned value systems in an attempt to keep up. For my bachelor thesis I created a medium that addresses this discrepancy.

PillowTalk is a game that acts on the desire to empower people and especially adolescents in their communication about sexuality. PillowTalk offers the players the space to practice their own intimacy and to respect the boundaries of others. With this bachelor thesis I actively advocate for more integration and equality between genders and sexualities.
