WebScape
An interactive journey through web & design
WebScape is all about your interactive exploratory journey: As a mouse, you move through a fascinating 3D world that revisits the history of internet and web design in time-separated sections. The intention of my project is to convey the history of both web and design in a playful way through gamification, while at the same time leaving room for your own discoveries. Whether it’s the rise of social media, the expansion of online services, or the use of Comic Sans, there is much to explore on various islands! Sometimes funny, sometimes critical, the mouse encounters unforgettable moments in web and design history. Thanks to the web-based 3D tool Spline (which kept evolving in real-time), I was able to create a detailed virtual world for WebScape and continuously incorporate new interactions. Can you find all the Easter eggs? Dive in and experience the fascinating development of the World Wide Web!
